Hey Mon, it's Agribition in Regina this week. Did you know that it's the largest cattle show in North American drawing thousands of visitors from every corner of the world! What better way to get in on the fun then to cook up some 'Jamaican Jerk Beef Stew'. I recall the first time I made it, I thought...'hey, I wonder how Jamaican Bobsled will work with beef stew. Let's give it a shot." My son Ben thought I was loco and was surely going to ruin a good supper. But given the ooohs and aaahs around the table, well, Ben had to eat his words! Try it, there's a good chance it will become your family's favourite stew this winter.
October couldn't be a better month to release Whistling Coyote! Exotic warm spices like cinnamon and cumin come together in this sweet/salty blend to wrap your kitchen in a warm cozy blanket. Don't hold back on this one - you can really pile it on! Absolutely amazing on pulled chicken and pork; it's also terrific on roasted squash and sweet potato. And be sure to try the Cinnamon/Cumin Chicken with Maple Whisky BBQ Sauce below - Wow!
Happy Summer Kitchen Heroes!!
Get ready for some fun grilling recipes!
It's burger season and we just can't resist offering up another stunner of a burger - this time with bison (but don't worry, if you don't have bison, ground beef will do excellently).
One of our Kitchen Heroes is having a blast with this month's new Red Guitar Mexican Seasoning.
We're smack in the middle of the Olympics and if you're like us, you're glued to the TV. And what a great time to have some fun cooking and create a gold-medal meal. You'll love Frank's recipe for 'Amazing Roast Chicken'. If you're serving a crowd, go for the 'Bumbleberry Slab Pie'! This is one fantastic pie! Try 'Mike's Sweet & Spicy Wings' if you're serving a crowd.
